Who We Are
Best Practice is a design and development practice that builds digital products, runs the Client Clubhouse, and publishes a small family of apps. In this policy, “Best Practice,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the people and systems that operate madewithbestpractice.com and the pages we host under it.
What This Policy Covers
This policy covers this website and the Client Clubhouse. It does not cover our apps: each app handles information differently, so each one has its own privacy policy, and that policy is the one that governs the app.
This Website
The public pages of this site are static. There are no accounts, no forms, and no advertising. We do not ask you for personal information to read them, and we do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
The site is hosted and served through Cloudflare, and uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. That gives us aggregate figures — pages viewed, referring site, rough location, device type — and it works without cookies and without tracking you between sites. We use it to see which pages get read, not to identify you.
Some pages load fonts and styling from third-party networks, including Google Fonts. Delivering a file to your browser necessarily reveals your IP address to the network serving it, and those providers handle that data under their own policies.
The Client Clubhouse
The Client Clubhouse is a private area for clients we work with, and it requires a sign-in. If you have access, we handle the account details needed to sign you in — such as your name and email address — along with the project material, files, and correspondence we exchange with you as part of the engagement.
We use that information to deliver the work you have engaged us for, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, and we do not use client material to advertise to you.
Email and Enquiries
If you email us, we receive whatever you put in the message and keep the correspondence for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a sensible record of our work. You are not added to a mailing list by writing to us.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with the providers that make the work possible — hosting and CDN, email, and the app stores that distribute our apps — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our users, our work, or the public.
Retention
Analytics figures are aggregate and are retained by our analytics provider on its own schedule. Client Clubhouse material and correspondence are kept for the life of the engagement and for as long as afterwards as we need them for records, tax, and legal purposes.
Your Choices
You can browse this site without giving us anything. You can ask us what client information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep — write to [email protected].
Children
This website and the Client Clubhouse are intended for professional and commercial use. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as our work changes. The effective date above reflects the latest version posted on this page.
