These terms govern your use of Demote, a universal remote for televisions and streaming players on your own network. Our Privacy Policy covers what the app does with information.
By using Demote, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Demote does not require an account or sign-in.
Demote is an independent universal remote for televisions and streaming players you already own. It discovers devices on your local Wi-Fi network and sends control commands directly to them, speaking each manufacturer's own published control protocol.
Demote is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or supported by Google, Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Panasonic, Sharp, or any other device manufacturer. “Android TV,” “Google TV,” “Chromecast,” “Roku,” “Tizen,” “webOS,” “SmartCast,” “Viera” and “Aquos” are trademarks of their respective owners, used here only to describe the hardware the App can control.
Using Demote is not a substitute for, and may not be covered by, any warranty or support your device manufacturer provides.
Demote sends real commands to real devices. You are responsible for the devices you connect to and for what you do with them. Only use the App with equipment you own or are authorised to control.
Pairing with some televisions requires entering a PIN shown on the screen. Keep that pairing to networks and devices you trust.
Manufacturers implement their control protocols differently across models and change them in firmware updates without notice. Some devices expose only part of their functionality, and some models are not supported at all. The App reports what it cannot do rather than failing silently, but we cannot promise that any particular television or feature will work.
Demote requires that your phone or tablet and your device are on the same local network. It is not a substitute for an infrared remote and cannot control devices that offer no network control.
Demote offers a one-time “Lifetime Unlock” in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat, which we use to verify entitlements and restore purchases across your devices. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store's policy.
You can restore a previous purchase from within the App at any time.
Do not use the App to interfere with equipment you do not control, to disrupt a network, or to attempt to circumvent any device's security. Do not decompile or reverse-engineer the App except to the extent that right cannot lawfully be excluded.
The App, its interface, and its original content are owned by Made with Best Practice LLC and protected by copyright and other laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App, not ownership of it.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with your equipment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Made with Best Practice LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or damage to equipment, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App.
We may update these terms as the App changes. The effective date above will be revised when we do. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Demote envía comandos reales a dispositivos reales. Usted es responsable de los dispositivos a los que se conecta y de lo que hace con ellos. Use la aplicación solo con equipos que posea o esté autorizado a controlar.
El emparejamiento con algunos televisores requiere introducir un PIN mostrado en pantalla. Realice ese emparejamiento solo en redes y dispositivos de confianza.
Los fabricantes implementan sus protocolos de control de forma distinta entre modelos y los cambian en actualizaciones de firmware sin previo aviso. Algunos dispositivos exponen solo parte de su funcionalidad y otros no son compatibles en absoluto. La aplicación informa lo que no puede hacer en lugar de fallar en silencio, pero no podemos garantizar que un televisor o una función concreta funcione.
Demote requiere que su teléfono o tableta y su dispositivo estén en la misma red local. No sustituye a un mando por infrarrojos y no puede controlar dispositivos que no ofrecen control por red.
Demote ofrece una compra única «Lifetime Unlock» dentro de la aplicación. Las compras las procesa App Store o Google Play y se gestionan con RevenueCat, que usamos para verificar los derechos y restaurar compras entre sus dispositivos. Los reembolsos los gestiona la tienda donde compró, según la política de esa tienda.
Puede restaurar una compra anterior desde la aplicación en cualquier momento.
No use la aplicación para interferir con equipos que no controla, para alterar una red, ni para intentar eludir la seguridad de ningún dispositivo. No descompile ni realice ingeniería inversa de la aplicación, salvo en la medida en que ese derecho no pueda excluirse legalmente.
La aplicación, su interfaz y su contenido original son propiedad de Made with Best Practice LLC y están protegidos por derechos de autor y otras leyes. Estos términos le conceden una licencia personal, no exclusiva e intransferible de uso, no la propiedad.
La aplicación se proporciona «tal cual» y «según disponibilidad», sin garantías de ningún tipo, expresas o implícitas, incluidas las garantías implícitas de comerciabilidad, idoneidad para un fin determinado o no infracción. No garantizamos que la aplicación funcione sin interrupciones, sin errores ni de forma compatible con su equipo.
En la máxima medida permitida por la ley, Made with Best Practice LLC no será responsable de daños indirectos, incidentales, especiales, consecuentes o punitivos, ni de la pérdida de datos o daños a equipos derivados del uso de la aplicación.
