The spine is the slope factor — it turns the flat footprint you can actually measure into the sloped area you buy material for. Everything else hangs off area and linear feet.

Reference figures. Bundle counts, roll coverage and NFA per vent vary by manufacturer and product line — the app carries editable per-product defaults. Confirm against the data sheet and local code; rafter and load-adjacent outputs are a field reference, not a stamped engineering calc.
